Episode 7: Midbrain organoids
The seventh episode is about the mechanical production and analysis of midbrain organoids.
Within this episode Dr. Jan Bruder from the Max Planck Institute in Münster gives answers to our questions about organoids, starting with “What are organoids anyway?”. He gives insight into the procedure of the automated production of organoids and describes their advantages. He explains new testing methods, which are for example used in the research of Parkinson's disease. Also ethical questions concerning mini brains are addressed.
